What can the Chamber do for you?
- Referrals. The Chamber office handles hundreds of business referrals to members each year.
- Development. The Chamber works with other organizations for the economic and cultural growth of our area. Our contacts include Vergennes Area Chamber (a division of the Chamber), Five Town Business Council (a division of the Chamber), Middlebury Business Association, Middlebury Development Corporation, Addison County Economic Development Corporation, and the Addison County Regional Planning Commission.
- News. A monthly newsletter featuring articles of interest to keep our members informed and abreast of important issues.
- Travel Information Center. Provides information about our members and their establishments—lodging, dining, attractions, etc. We are the Regional Marketing Organization.
- Business Center. Continuous research and collection of data in our Business Library from Small Business Research Centers, etc. We have a business book library.
- Action Groups. Communications with national, state, and local elected officials regarding small business, economics, environmental concerns and taxation. The Business Advocacy Committee works continually to deal with issues that concern Chamber members.
- Group Insurance, Long Term Care, Telephone Discounts. The Chamber negotiates with companies to make it possible to offer low cost programs.
- Member to Member Benefits. Businesses provide saving opportunites for the membership to enjoy.
- And More Seminars and workshops, the annual Addison County Chamber of Commerce Membership Directory & Community Profile, the Mid Vermont Showcase, and the annual golf tournament, are just a few of the many ways we can expose your business!
